Weekend. What weekend?

For many small businesses, weekends off just don't exist. Whether it be a cafe, retail boutique or a tradie on a deadline, Saturdays and Sundays can be just regular working days, and in fact, are often the busiest times.
While we may dream of time off with what seems like the rest of Australia, to hit the beach, cheer on our kids at their footy match, swing the golf sticks, head to the movies or mow the lawns (yes, my hubby actually looks forward to doing that!!), sometimes it's just not possible.
So while this sucks, the upside is that weekends are prime time for some serious social media promotion. Keep your smartphones on you at all times and be ready to snap and post (with permission of course!) that family celebrating Uncle Joe's 50th birthday lunch in your cafe, Roxanne buying that special outfit for her sister's deb next weekend in your boutique, or the building progress shot in Paul & Casey's first home.
Every customer interaction you have has an authentic story, and with Facebook and Instagram crying out for authentic posts, there is no better time than the weekend for a post that is bound to boost your social media engagement!
